When you work with me, we’ll journey together to uncover the unique voice you already possess. I'll help you work towards your singing goals as we expand your palette and free your sound, through industry recognised, proven techniques.
My approach is a holistic one. That means I never treat the voice as a separate entity, instead I explore how the mind, body, and spirit all come into the picture. I offer a safe space for you to come as you are. In my lessons, curiosity, not perfection, is the goal.
My coaching method draws on the Voice Movement Therapy techniques of vocal pioneer Paul Newham, in conjunction with other approaches like Speech Level Singing and the Estill Voice Method.
About
Helena is professional singer, songwriter, and producer with over 10 years of industry experience as a performer and recording artist. She has released an original six-track EP ‘Love at my Altar’ and has recorded her debut album ‘When All the Birds Have Flown Away’. Helena has a First-Class Honours Degree in Creative Musicianship from the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, a Grade 8 in Popular Music Vocals and a a Foundation in Acting Performance from the Young Actor's Theatre Islington. Her style is a blend of folk, jazz, and soul but she is qualified to teach a range of other contemporary genres including pop, rock, alternative, and musical theatre. Helena is DBS checked and insured.
Lessons take place at Helena's home in Kemsing, Sevenoaks, Kent.

Hour long lessons recommended for all adults and older children/teenagers.
Half hour lessons recommended for younger students (under 11s).
